The French fashion house debuts the Icare Maxi Shopping Bag entirely in soft lambskin with a flat lozenge quilting facade.

In a crowd of the smaller-the-better bags that fit a phone, your cards, and maybe a hand sanitizer (if you’re lucky), Saint Laurent interrupts your regularly scheduled programming with their disruptive (yet entirely practical) design. This is Big Bag Energy, ya’ll.
As newly crowned Catwoman Zoë Kravitz and Saint Laurent ambassador will have us know, this is the off-duty bag we all need. Paired with low-rise denim, a simple turtleneck, heels, and the sleekest of buns — a jumbo bag has never looked so desirable and might we say, fashionable?
The name Icare refers to the bold monogram logo positioned strikingly in the center of the bag. As creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s team shares, the logo “shines like the sun that burned Icarus’s wings”. The oversized volume only further reinforces its strong identity with its handcrafted maxi curved iconic ysl signature — this is an accessory that has been sculpted like a piece of magnificent jewellery.
